A popular young Nepali singer Rajesh Payal Rai has earned a distinct identity as a singer of Melodious songs. He was born 1975, he is a celebrity singer, actor of Nepal. He was born in a British soldier family. His early childhood days were mostly spent at Buipa in Khotang District. He too was expected to join army when he was a young boy but he was mostly interested in singing. he had little idea that one day he would become a prominent singer of the country in such a young age. As a son of a soldier, he was also influenced to join the British Armed Forces. However, he had an avid interest and thirst to sing, which he fulfilled by singing folklore and limited modern songs aired from Radio Nepal, in his villages. This event added confidence to Rai and how he would think to taking up music as a profession. He recorded 'Failiyo Maya Dubo Sari' in 1992, after he came to Kathmandu on completion of his high school.
